My g-g-g-g grandfather, Arnold Haensgen, the oldest, b. 1753, married Anna Maria Mertes in 17 90 in Bereborn, the village to the south that Anna Maria came from. They lived in Brucktal an d their children were born there. Brucktal is also the place listed as their place of death , Arnold in 1812, Anna in 1829.
Arnold & Anna Marie had 8 children: Anna Maria b. 1791; Bernard b. 1792; Maria Gertrude b. 17 94; Antonius b. 1797; Anna Catherina b. 1799; Anna Maria b. 1801; Josef b. 1804 & Josef b. 18 08, all born in Brucktal, Germany.
